Learning Outcome One: Demonstrate the ability to approach writing as a recursive process that requires substantial revision of drafts for content, organization and clarity (global revision) as well as editing and proofreading (local revision).

Introduction: Between the narrative essay and the final research paper there are many significant changes. This paper has been in the revision process since the beginning. My approach to revising is rereading every few days and making necessary changes. Some days it’s about deleting stuff that doesn’t fit and other days it is adding a page to what I previously have. I have learned from this that in order to make something the best that it can be, you have to put a good amount of time into it. Nothing is ever going to be perfect the first time around, which is why it is important to do things in stages and evaluate the work that you previously did. These revisions show me the growth I have within. And that you can do anything you put time into.
