Final Reflection
There are many things that I learned throughout this entire team project. I have learned to conduct evidenced based research, which is the most current research with the best available data and outcomes for the patients. I also learned all the components that go into a research paper and reading the articles. I gained an understanding of the outcomes that come when working with a team. I will apply all of this in my future practice in Nursing by providing holistic care for all my patients no matter what they look like or what their beliefs are. If I do not know the best treatment method for them, I will complete sufficient research to figure it out for them. I will also be a good team player; it is important to keep everyone in the circle of care. You are never alone when caring for a patient, by all different departments working together, you achieve a lot more positive outcomes for the patients. Essentially our team process was to each do an equal amount of work, but there were times when you would have to pick up a little extra to keep things flowing. I feel that’s what teamwork is about though, there are going to be times when your team member(s) know more than you do. It is not about who knows more, it is about collaborated and supporting other ideas, whatever is in the best interest for the patient. As a team member, I discovered that I am good at delegating tasks when needed, and good at managing my time. I would say that I can handle workload that I am assigned to. I overall enjoyed working as a team, and I believe the outcome of our work shows that we worked well together.
